Lamb Chopper
(Sheep's milk, Cypress Grove Chèvre, Caliornia)
This is a pleasant cheese with character, as the friendly sheep riding a motorcycle on the front of the rind suggests. Buttery and nutty with a semi-hard texture, Lamb Chopper is made from organic milk. Cypress Grove Chèvre, a leader in the domestic goat cheese industry since the early 80's, has proven with this cheese that they have a magic touch with sheep's milk as well.
Cypress Grove Chèvre is based in northern California and run by Mary Keehn and her daughters.
